Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

I was looking for something magical to read and I found Wicked Lovely in the store.

Aislinn (pronounced "ASH-ling") sees faeries. Most humans can't see them, but they're all around and the women in her family have been given the gift of sight. Because faeries are dangerous, she's spent her entire life ignoring them.

Aislinn is love with a fellow named Seth - the kind of guy who has multiple piercings and tattoos, so it's hard to see beyond the exterior. But, Seth is incredibly kind and loving. And, he lives in a train car, a safe place for Aislinn because the faeries don't like metal.

But, there's one faery who is falling for Aislinn. He's dangerous and he's known as the Summer King. His mother, the Winter Queen, wants to stop him from warming up the earth and bringing things back to normal. If he finds his queen - the perfect woman with the right powers - they can unite and fight off the freezing power of the Winter Queen. He's been looking for a long, long time and he thinks Aislinn is his queen. Will the Summer King leave Aislinn alone and let her live her own life? Or will she end up either becoming the Summer Queen or a tortured soul living a life of frozen horror? And, what about Seth? Does he really love Aislinn? Will the Summer King leave him alone or kill him to have what he wants?

It's all very dark vs. light, good vs. evil, love conquers all stuff in Wicked Lovely. I love that. Melissa Marr tells a fine story. I hope to read the entire series, some day, but I had to buy this one because my library is terrible and I'm kind of broke, so it'll probably be a while before I'll find the next book in the series. It took a while for me to get into, but otherwise I loved this book.

I don't know where to find little stars to rate this book, so I'm going to use asterisks, for now:

I like that rating system. Since you've been to my blog, you know I've read this one and haven't reviewed it, yet. I think you did a great job reviewing. I'm not sure what to say. It's been almost a month since I read it. I might just skip reviewing, but I hate to do that. Welcome to the blog world!

You can still review it. Might not be perfect, but you could maybe just talk about what you do remember?

Thank you for the welcome!
